Water Street North

The Region of Waterloo is planning improvements to Water Street North between Ainslie Street North and Park Hill Road in Cambridge. This work includes converting the section between Simcoe Street and Ainslie Street North to two-way traffic, adding new multi-use paths to the west side of the street and a pedestrian refuge island south of Simcoe Street.

These improvements make it easier for everyone to get around, whether by public transit, bike, foot or by car.

Design and planning: 2022–2025
Construction phase 1: July–August 2026
