Westmount Road | Fischer-Hallman to Block Line

The Region of Waterloo is planning improvements to Westmount Road between Fischer-Hallman Road and Block Line Road in Kitchener. The project will include pavement rehabilitation, installation of new storm sewers, improved active transportation facilities for pedestrians and cyclists, new GRT bus stops, permanent traffic signals at Westmount Rd. and Tillsley Dr., and intersection improvements at Westmount Road/Fischer-Hallman Road and Westmount Road/Block Line Road.

These improvements will make it easier and safer for all residents to get around, whether by car, public transit, bike, or foot.

Planning and design: 2024–2025
Construction: 2026

Note: timing may be affected by weather conditions and changing project scope; updates will be posted as needed.
