Water and wastewater projects typically begin with Region of Waterloo Water Services completing an environmental assessment. Upon approval of the environment assessment, responsibility for the project moves to Region of Waterloo Design and Construction.

Cambridge Inverness Water Tower Interior Maintenance |
Type of work: removal and replacement of the interior tank lining system and other general maintenance items Duration: the contractor will be onsite from March to June 2021 Location: 39 Dalkeith Drive, Cambridge What you should know: due to the nature of the work nearby residence should be aware of noise at the site. Neighbours can expect elevated noise levels from construction traffic, diesel generators, media blasting equipment and other construction equipment. All of the proposed work is expected to fall within the allowances of the City of Cambridge Noise By-law. Detailed information: The Inverness Water Tower, located at 39 Dalkeith Drive, Cambridge Ontario, is scheduled for interior maintenance from March to June 2021. Construction activities are expected to occur only within the allowances of the City of Cambridge Noise By-law. The general contractor is Landmark Structures Co / Landmark Municipal Services ULC., and their scope of work includes:
Work is expected to start late in February 2021 with the contractor mobilizing to site. The contractor will begin by setting up scaffolding on the inside of the tank to facilitate access to interior surfaces for media blasting, welding, and eventual coating system replacement. Nearby homes will experience elevated noise levels from construction traffic, diesel generators, media blasting equipment, metal reverberation and vacuum trucks. The construction is expected to occur Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
