Accessing treatment services in Waterloo Region

Health care provider
- You can talk to your health care provider about drug use. They can explain and refer you to resources and treatment services.
- Here24/7
- A phone line for addictions, mental health and crisis services across Waterloo-Wellington. Here 24/7 provides intake, assessment, referral, crisis, waitlist and appointment bookings. It is available seven days a week, 24-hours a day.
- Waterloo Region HART Hub (Homeless and Addiction Recovery Treatment Hub)
- Support for people experiencing homelessness to get help with mental health and drug use.
Addiction treatment programs
These organizations provide live-in and day-treatment programs. Connect with each organization to learn more about the services the offer.
Counselling and group supports
There are several drug use-related counselling and group support programs. Contact Here24/7 for a full list of groups.

Opioid replacement therapy
Methadone and suboxone treatment is available from the Ontario Addiction Treatment Centre (OATC) for those using opioids.
Rapid access addiction medicine clinics (RAAM)
Rapid access addictions medicine clinics are for people with health issues related to drug use. Walk in support is available for everyone regardless of age and drug used.
Withdrawal management (detox)
A centre for those who need support managing withdrawal symptoms. The centre provides 24-hour monitoring and care. Live-in and day programs are available.
