Arthur Street
Overview
Project number: 05394 | Updated: November 2025
The Region of Waterloo plans to reconstruct Arthur Street from Kenning Place to South Street E in Elmira. This section of Arthur Street includes the downtown core of Elmira and approximately 940 meters north of Church Street, including the Canagagigue Creek bridge.
The underground infrastructure, concrete, and bridge along this section of Arthur Street need to be upgraded, as they have reached the end of their service life. Along with these necessary upgrades, the Region is improving the active transportation facilities in this area to enhance safety, accessibility, and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists of all ages and abilities.
