Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) |
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requires certain organizations to comply with mandatory standards that remove and prevent barriers to accessibility for people with disabilities. The regulations include standards around information and communication, employment, and transportation. Each of these standards have requirements that must be met. This course will help you learn about the requirements and the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Failure to properly investigate a workplace health and safety incident can be costly. This course will teach you how to investigate the incident, analyze information you gather, make recommendations, and take corrective actions.

Health and Safety Representative |
This course covers the fundamentals of workplace health and safety including HSR responsibilities and duties, legal requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), hazard recognition and control, workplace inspection and investigation techniques and prevention resources. This training can help participants to fulfil their responsibilities as an HSR and to be an effective role model in the workplace protecting co-workers through the promotion of health and safety.

Infection Control |
Some workers have an increased risk of contracting an infectious disease due to the nature of their job and/or work environment. This course offers prevention and control measures that will assist in protecting workers from occupational exposure to infectious diseases.

Ladder Safety |
This course is a practical introduction to working safely with ladders (step, extension, and fixed ladders). It focuses on inspection before use, proper set up, and how to work safely while on the ladder.

Manual Material Handling |
Some workplaces require manual material handling (MMH): lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, pulling, holding, or restraining. When this work exceeds a worker's physical capabilities, serious injuries can result. Employers must provide their employees with information about hazardous products in the workplace and education programs to reduce injuries and illnesses. The course on Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) teaches employees about hazardous products or chemicals they may be exposed to at work. It covers the requirements of WHMIS to keep you safe.
