The Region of Waterloo is improving New Dundee Road between Reichert Drive and Pinnacle Drive in Kitchener. This work includes:
- New roundabout at Robert Ferrie Drive and New Dundee Road
- New left turn lane for eastbound traffic to Pinnacle Drive from New Dundee Road
- Widening the road to add paved shoulders on the sides
- New multi-use path and pedestrian handrails on the north side of the road
- Installation of new underground sanitary sewer and watermain

Getting around during construction
Construction started on June 23 and will extend through December 2025.
New Dundee Road will remain open to two-way traffic throughout this work with some temporary lane restrictions at times. There may be periods when traffic will need to travel on a gravel surface or be controlled with flag persons or with the use of temporary portable traffic signals.
Robert Ferrie Drive between Blair Creek Drive and New Dundee Road will be closed to through traffic starting on July 21 until December 2025.
Local access to the Doon South subdivision can be made through Stauffer Woods Trail and Pinnacle Drive.

Fischer-Hallman Road at New Dundee Road

The Region is constructing a partial two-lane roundabout at the New Dundee Road and Fischer-Hallman Road intersection in North Dumfries. This decision is based on technical studies and input received from the public through engagement in 2022.
Southbound: Through right turn lane and left turn lane
Westbound: Through left turn lane and a right turn lane
North and southbound: Single lanes
