Can-Amera Parkway

The Region of Waterloo is improving Can-Amera Parkway between Conestoga Boulevard and Franklin Boulevard in Cambridge. These improvements include:

Asphalt pavement replacement
New multi-use path on both sides of the roadway (3.0m wide)
GRT bus stop improvements
New street lighting within the project limits
Guiderail replacement along the north side of the road

Design and planning: 2025–2026
Construction: July 2026 - August 2026

$2.72 million

Getting around during construction

Can-Amera Parkway will remain open to two lanes of through traffic for the duration of construction, except for a few short-term full road closures to accommodate certain portions of the work, including surface asphalt placement.

There may be periods during construction when traffic will need to travel on temporary asphalt pavement, as well as times when traffic will need to be controlled with flag persons.
